A Handyman Helping Hand

painting a treated shed

When I get ready to paint my treated shed, do I have to primer it first, or do I go ahead and paint it? What is the best type of paint to use? I wanted to make it match my home. I would appreciate any suggestions, or comments for those who have done this, and how it turned out with a durability of how long it lasted.

If not, should I treat it with a wood preservative? It has stood for a year now, per manufacturers sugestion, to let it dry out before paint or treating with an oil base stain.
