Craft and Hardware stores carry glass cutter sets (used to cut apart glass bottles to make goblets/glasses)that have a wire that you place around the glass you want to cut. It is then heated and cracks along that line. You then file it with a "diamond" file to take the sharp edges off. You then take off the cap/cork and set it over your plant. the open neck provides enough air for the plant and the "greenhouse" effect speaks for itself...great for getting your garden going early or if you are in a cold area with late frosts and/or not warm enough to give the little plants their boost of sun. Also good for open, windy areas and critters that love to eat from your garden-restaurant. Good luck...old Oregon gardener...
