A Handyman Helping Hand

drainage

My bathtub is draining very slowly. All of the other drains are working OK. My gut feeling is that the air vent, located on the roof, needs to be unclogged. There is a pipe (about 1.5") sticking out of the roof. What is the cheapest, most effective way of unclogging this vent. Iv'e had a roto rooter man do this before.
