In Response To: building stucture (mark robinson)

Seveal year back when my wife and I decided to build our own home we contacted the building codes department. They gave us a little book that contained a summary of standard building codes. It had a chart that showed the allowable span for different species and grades of lumber. I'm known as a right wing extremist in my community because I oppose most government mandates but they're no all bad sometimes. They were real helpful when I was building my house. You have to pay them so why not get something out of them? Good luck, Tony Snook
