In Response To: Roofing (Chantel Parker)

Recommended minimum pitches are included on bundles of shingles. The first shingles I ever put on were good for a minimum pitch of 3 in 12. When I reroofed my house a few years back with fiberglass shingles the package said they were good for a 2 in 12 pitch. There's a good rule when it comes to roofs. I you don't get the water off it will find its way through. I've never priced rubber roofs but I have priced metal and it seems to be the trendy thing in the south where I live and it's cheaper than shingles and comes in a wide variety of colors.
