That's one of those things that with a picture it might be easy to give you some advice. Sliding doors are adjustable, but they are all a little different. If trim is damaged and needs sealing that is straight forward enough.

But you might consider looking above the doors for a solution. Maybe a small overhang would solve the problem without ripping the side of the house a part to do repairs and adjustments.

From what you described there may need to be more consideration above the problem. (maybe as simple as guttering to divert water to another area..) but if the doors are even in marginal shape, you might consider replacement. The newer multi-pane glass doors would pay for themselves quickly in energy savings and comfort.
