A Handyman Helping Hand

plumbing

I am adding an upstairs addition to my home. I have speced 3/4" copper as the supply line to be used. My water supply is a well with a 3/4" feed to a softener. After the softener the lines are 1/2" both hot and cold. I am planning on changing to all 3/4" lines except for the runs to the fixtures on the 1st floor. My contractor has already roughed-in the line on the 2nd floor. Will the 1/2" lines be able to supply the 2nd floor untill I am ready to take on the project of changing over to 3/4"? Also is there anything I should be aware of concering my well system?

Thank you for the help.
