In Response To: Driveway Repair (Vanessa)

Vanessa,

Most equipment rental places have concrete cutters that would allow you to cut through the drive, in a stright line, at the place where you want the drive to end. It will not break off clean. So first you would cut between the part you want to keep and the part you want to get rid of. The next rental item you would want is a jack hammer. You would need to break up the remove part and then somehow get rid of all the broken up concrete. (I would rent a bobcat and load it in a trailer and take it to a land fill site.)

All in all, it is very hard work. Very heavy. Not a do it yourself project by most standards unless you have lots of time, energy, and know what you are going to do to get rid of the concrete. Not impossible!

You might consider a concrete contractor who would have all the tools and could complete the work in a few hours..
