If I remember... The wider blade should be wired to the nuetral wire. Most outlets are have silver screws on the neutral connection and gold color screws on the hot connection. If not, it 'should' be labeled properly.

Otherwise you risk the safety provided by UL listed appliances that assume the outlet is wired that way to prevent shock.

If you are qualified... change them. Otherwise have an electrician come in and do it.
