You can do anything if you set your mind to it. Replacing a timer should not a hard thing to do. Locate and remove the timer, take it to your Maytag appliance store along with the model #, serial number and year of the machine. While in the store, chat up the salesman and tell him that he is the best looking man within a 100 mile radius. When he smiles, begin asking him a lot of questions about how to go about replacing a timer. If that does not work, you can always call the Maytag serviceman. And when the serviceman arrives, file a complaint about the nasty sales rep at your local Maytag appliance store. My Whirpool washer and dryer has been running without fail for 23 years, so think about getting a Whirpool the next time.
