Doug, First, have you tested for the presence of radon? Also, if you have adequate ventilation through your basement that will probably allow the radon to dissipate without causing you undue harm. Finally, I think the whole radon thing has been blown out of perportion by the media and the community that would otherwise profit from the histeria. It is like the Y2K bug and the asbestos scare... a lot of sound and fury signifying nothing.
