A Handyman Helping Hand

Floor Tiling

My wife and I are tiling the kithen floor. The subfloor is 5/8 inch thick plywood. It doesnt seem to give but just a little. Would it be better to add 1/2 plywood and 1/4 in wonder board or 1/4 inch plywood and 1/2 inch wonder board to strengthen the subfloor to keep the tiles from cracking? Also is exterior grade plywood better than interior it cost about the same?
