You should be able to get the parts (sounds like a broken return spring or the like) at your local hardware. Of if you would like, you should be able to purchase the complete nozzle assembly (looks like the garden hose sprayer), and replace the whole thing. It would disconnect from the hose with a coupling nut at the base of the nozzle. I'm sure you have already turned off the water. Don't panic!
