In Response To: Re: plumbing/drain pipe (Frank)

Frank,

Thanks for responding. A little more info. The vent stack is only 2-3 ft.from the toilet! I looked down the vent stack and there didn't appear to be any obstruction (hornets nest, birds, etc.). This doesn't mean that there isn't something down there but I saw nothing. ( I'm about to drop a boom-boom down there just for the sake of ill gratification!!!). I even telephoned Mansfield and they chuckled when I mentioned product error! They were to check with a couple of consultants and get back to me but as of yet I haven't heard from them. Tell Me more about Mansfield as I got the impression that you may know something I don't.

I've heard something concerning pipe diameter and the reduced amount off water used when flushing. I am the weekend warrior/construction vet but there's alot I don't know and I'm not afraid to say so!

Could the length of the run to my aereation tank come into play here? I recently replaced my old septic tank, which was in the back-yard and the new is now located in the front obviously adding to the linear run. I really need to get this straightened out before I run out of hair to pull out!!! Thanks
