Been there done that. I always take the easy way out. I would suggest running the cable through the air vents or return ducts. Try getting an electricians fish tape or try this. Take a piece of nylon twine and tie a couple metal washers on it. Run this down through the air ducts until you get to the room. If you have problems you can sometimes use a magnet to grab the washers and slide it up to the vent. It definatly helps to have 2 people and if your daughter is old enough to surf the web she should be old enough to help. Good luck. It really does take some patience.
