Electrical switch

Posted By: Chris Durlak

One of our electrical switches makes a "crackling" sound, and flickers a bit when we switch it on to turn on a basement light. We are worried about an electrical wire short, or fire. We can see nothing frayed or damaged when we remove the switchplate cover. Any thoughts? Should we just replace the switch again, which was done not very long ago?

Thanks.
