A Handyman Helping Hand

electric temp control

I have a fan that has a temperature setting and it works really well. Having this fan makes me wish my box fan had a temperature control as well. Is there an easy way to wire one in? Can I buy a cheap thermostat somewhere and connect it? It's getting hot in the house already, even for Montana and having an "automatic" fan to help with ventilation would be really helpful. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks for taking the time... Jeff
