In Response To: Cherry Table (Matt Olk)

You may be able to purchase a new roll of veneer for your cherry table. Check with a lumber yard. If they don't have them, they may be able to point you to a store or distributor where you can purchase them. The veneer comes prepasted with glue on the back. You use a hot iron on the new veneer to glue them to the edge. If they are not available, then glue the old veneer back together with wood glue. Use wood filler to fix the chipped edges. Apply a generous portion of wood filler around the chipped edges. Wait until completely dry. Then sand down with a fine grade sandpaper to square off the edges.
