Used Bamboo Floor Installation

Posted By: William Zung

I have acquired approximately 400 SF of edge grain bamboo floor that was taken up from a home remodeling project. The tongue and groove was damaged during the removal so I cut all of the tonge and grooves along the length of the board off. The boards now are 3 inches wide and mixed lengths of 4 feet, 3 feet, and smaller. Now I want to install this floor in my house over a plywood subfloor. I don't have a way to re-cut the tongue and groove without hiring a cabinet shop. Can I install the floor without the tongue and grooves with flooring nails or staples, or would I have to use an adhesive?

Thank you, William Zung
