In Response To: Electrical Outlets Not Working (Len B)

Downstreaming is a common method of installation. The receptacles in both baths ceased to function in the house I had been in for about 2 weeks. Everyone said it sounded like a tripped GFCI receptacle, with which I agreed. After several days of trying to locate the wayward GFCI, I finally discovered it was on the front porch (and incorrectly installed). I bypassed that location and installed a new GFCI receptacle in a more convienient location. Namely, the bath. In other words, look around outside for the culprit. You may have had the same jocular electrician that I had.
