A Handyman Helping Hand

replacement window

How do you install a replacement window into a brick opening? Is there anything I should be aware of when measuring the rough opening? Three sides of the opening are brick and the last is wood (the top side). I'm concerned with making the exterior trim or brick/window junction weatherproof. Of course, the window is not flush with the exterior brick. It is recessed about 4 inches.

Thank you, very much for reading my question.
