I have used the sprays for bees and hornets. They form a foamy, sticky goo over the opening so the bees can't get out without going through the stuff. It also prevents the bees from flying at you (unless they are already out). It worked well for me. Bees however are very hard to remove. You may need a bee-keeper to remove the hive if all else fails.
