In Response To: whole house filters (Pat)

I'm assuming your system is a forced air type. You should have at least one air return in the house that has a filter. We used to use those disposable filters but deicded to try electrostatic ones. They cost about $40.00 when we bought ours which sounds high when compared to the disposable ones which you can get for about one or two dollars. But! you just take the electrostatic filters out, rinse them with a garden hose, let em drain for a minute or two and pop em back in. We've had ours for almost ten years and they work great. Ours came from Lowes and we had to trim them to the right size but it wasn't difficult.
