heat

My preasure release valve into the oil burner is set at 30 psi. It pops often and I am wondering why? There is 1/2 pipe coming to the valve and 3/4 fitting into the heater. The heater is for a three floor radiator heated place. I want to change the 1/2 pipe to 3/4 to improve the house water preasure but am wondering if it will solve the water all over the floor from the release valve too. I did have a radiator moved and the system was emptyed could the valve pop do to air and if it is air how can I get rid of it? THANKS
