Recovering old gravel roof

Posted By: Charley Groth

Hello...

I have two old gravel roofs on my place, both nearly flat, that leak. I want to find the cheapest effective way to stop the leakage. I will need to do it myself.

Right now I'm thinking about recovering both of these roofs with that roll-type roofing. I don't know if this is feasible, if so how to prepare the old surface, and so on. I need advice! Someone with roofing experience has suggested this. I'm new to roofing, myself.

I'm very open to any and all suggestions!

Please contact me at rainbowpr@juno.com

Thanks for any input!

Charley
