Stripping Painted Fireplace

Posted By: Flamingo

I recently purchased a home that was built in 1951. The design of the house is very nice and I want to gradually make it look like it did when it was new. My fireplace is surrounded with a brick wall. Unfortunately, somebody painted the brick with white paint. Although who knows what might be under there (I found orange paint on the exterior). Is it possible to remove the paint and still have a brick wall that is worth stripping? I look forward to your expertise! Thanks and Peace, Flamingo
