How to remove a bolt in a tight spot

I have a door handle attached to a drawer with a bolt and a nut that I want to remove. The end of the bolt has been cut off at the nut. Therefore, I can't remove the bolt. Is there some material for cutting through the bolt - there is about 1/16 of an inch of give so I could insert something very thin to cut with. A type of string material that could cut through metal would work, I think. I could insert it in front of the nut and scrape it back and forth until it cut throught the nut. Is there any such thing? If not, does anyone have any ideas on how to remove the nut? Thank you.
