A Handyman Helping Hand

vinyl floorboards

I am remodeling two rooms in my home, including putting in new carpet. I have taken off the vinyl floorboards that were on the walls, but it has left the adhesive. My questions are: 1: Can I re-use the floor boards when I put down the new carpet? 2: Do I have to take the adhesive off of the wall before I put new adhesive on, and if I do, what can I use to take it off with?

Another problem, is I have the same problem regarding a really foul smell that's in my master bath upstairs. What is a "stink pipe"? I'm interested in the answer that the other gentleman receives regarding this problem.
