Ceramic tile

I am in the process of putting ceramic tile in my kitchen. I put the cement backerboard on top of 5/8 inch plywood which is on top of 1 inch barn board. For tile cement I used a prepared adhesive. It is made by TEC. It is Premium Ceramic tile adhesive for walls and floors - labled double duty - 122. I have used approximately five gallons of the adhesive and put down 200 square feet of flooring. I need some help!!!! The tile keeps coming up - I called the company and they told me that the tile is too big - according to the can - I read it after the tiles started to come up - the floor tiles cannot be any bigger than 8 x 8. My tiles are 6 x6 , 6 x 12, and 12 x 12. Not all of the tiles are coming up - it seems that approximately 1/3 are loose. The company suggested that I remove all of the tiles and use a cement - there must be someone out there that has done somthing as stupid as I have done - I really don't want to remove all the tiles - there must be some way to get the glus to harden under the tiles!!
