A Handyman Helping Hand

basement repair

I live in southern Oklahoma were the ground shifts alot durring the summer months. My house was built in the 20's. The cement they used to construct the basement is mainly sand and has no rebar in it. Over the years the ground shifting has caused the basement wall to cave in. the cost of having a wall re-poured is sky high. Can I replace this wall with a wooden structure and still have enough support to hold the house above?

Thank You for your help
