Removing breakers/Adding??

How do you remove a breaker from the panel? I don't see any easy way of "popping" it out. How about adding one to an empty slot? I put in a garbage deposal. There was wiring going under the sink already in place. This ran up to a switch next to a sink. The switch wire was not connected to the switch. From all indications, the wire runs to the breaker box. So I am asking, do I just slip in a "10" amp or "15" and how do I get the peskey things in and out of the panel?? Thanks in advance.
