In Response To: Cure time for concrete (John D. Jewett)

John ------- The cure time for regular concrete is affected by many variables: type and amount of cement, amount of water used, temperature, is the concrete kept wet after pouring etc. Under normal conditions with temperatures of 55-75 deg and regular concrete, you can walk on new pours after 1-2 days, drive cars after 3-4 days and trucks after 7-8 days. After 28 days most of the ultimate strength is attained. The concrete, however, continues to cure or harden for many years. Good luck, Roger
