In Response To: disguising paint edges (Deb)

Deb ------- Try some premixed drywall compound or a patching compound. With a 4" putty knife(taping knife) apply a small amount to the area of the paint edges and then wipe off the excess with the knife. Move the knife along the line of the paint with the tip or edge of the knife at right angles to the paint edge. The handle of the knife should be held at an angle of approximately 30 degrees to the plane of the wall. Whew! I hope some of this makes sense. Since the patching compound will absorb paint differently than the old paint you will need to prime the walls before painting. Good luck, Roger
