Elec. H2O Heater

After a swap of my electric hot water heater to a new 50 gal. GE (Rheem,)the hot water didn't work. The tank was filled prior to connecting electricilty. Cold water flows through the faucett both on the hot and cold settings). 240 V. Well water. Reset button isn't tripped. Factory settings 120 degrees on thermostat. Cuircuit breaker is on. Any suggestions? Thanks!
