In Response To: Iron gate repair (Tom Hammer)

There is an epoxy I have used with good luck. I think the name is PC-7 (I have not used it in a while). IT comes in a black and red container. It has two parts one black and one white. The containers the two parts are kept in look like film canisters (those small black plastic things). I have used it and it works great. The only problem would be if you don't have enough surface area. This product is good but will not work if you are trying to fix a very narrow section.

I would also say that re-welding the gate is the best and most permanent fix. If you can unbolt the parts and bring them to a local muffler shop the people there will usually weld anything small for 10-15 dollars. Otherwise I would call and have someone come out. Try a local vocational school.
