In Response To: BROKEN TELEVISION (JBLAWEL)

There is a Vertical Driver power transister that sounds like it has failed.

There is a minnimal amount of electronics knowledge needed to identify the location of the faulty component and a need to be careful during the installation so as not to overheat the new transister during the soldiering.

On some TV sets there is a diagram on the inside cover that shows where the components are located in the set.

BE SURE TO UNPLUG THE SET AND STAY AWAY FROM all Capacitors and the back of the picture tube. (They can hold a high voltage charge for days!) Good Luck! Rick
