Adrian --------

The water supply line to a dishwasher has an electrically controlled valve. This valve opens and closes, under control of the wishwasher, to allow water to flow into the DW during operation. Sounds like this valve may be leaking, allowing water into the DW when not in use. This water will not just drain out, it has to be pumped out, by the DW pump, during normal operation.

The suppy line normally has a shut off valve, usually under the sink. You could shut the water off when you are not using the DW. If this stops the leak you know the control valve is bad. Time to call the repair man!!

Good luck, Roger
