In Response To: flagstone walkway (David)

My wife and I just put in a flagstone patio. Our rocks were all stones we collected in the mountains, and varied in thickness from 1.5 inches to some over 5 inches. We set ours in an 8 inch sand bed. We left the joints sanded. We were concerned that over time the rocks would shift and a cemented joint would not look as good. Hopes this helps a little. P.S. A dead blow hammer is worth it's weight in gold when comes to setting your flagstone!!!!!
