In Response To: INSTALLING WATER SOFTNER (RH)

If you could get your hands on the owners manual it would be of great help. Try getting in touch with Culligan. A bypass valve is helpfull. Also you will need to know how to program it. It saves salt if you install it so that outside faucets are not on the softener. Also there is some debate about the health hazards of the sodium that softeners add to the water so some people connect them so their kitchen faucet cold water (primary source for cooking and drinking) is not on the softener.
