Basement Heating

Posted By: Walt

I am in the process of framing my basement and plan to use the finished room as a play room for my kids. The room will act as a second family room. I plan to carpet it, insulate it and install a drop ceiling. I have one heat run (forced air) that forces heat down from the ceiling. I would like to know if it would be better to duct the heat into the newly framed walls and out of a register at floor level to improve comfort and air circulation.

Thanks.
