I am installing a new modular fiberglass stall shower in my home. I want to be sure that I install the green board around the top of the shower module correctly. There is a shallow shoulder/lip along the top of the shower walls, and the green board is supposed to be installed and sealed over the edge of the lip. Is there some specific edge process that I should use on the green board (ie. some sort of plastic channeling installed over the edge to prevent deterioration if moisture gets into the wallboard), or should I just cut it to fit, install and seal? What type of sealant/caulk do you recommend?
