Re-tacking carpet

Posted By: Louise

My husband and I replaced much of the carpet in our home with tile. We now need to re-tack the carpet at the doorways where the carpet meets the new tile. We bought carpet strips to do the job. My question is how do we attach the carpet strips to the concrete floor? Seems the nails bend on every hammer whack instead of sinking into the concrete. The carpet strips state they can be used on concrete or wood.
